Joseph L. "Joey" Benedict, Jr.
Born Oct 16, 1965, died August 19, 2010. He is the son of Bonnie Walton Benedict and the late Joseph L. Benedict, Sr. Maternal grandparents are Thomas and Josephine Walton (both deceased); fraternal grandparents are Joseph A. Benedict (deceased) and Margaret Benedict Hogya of McKeesport, PA.
He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Benedict Sharkey; nephew Joshua Sharkey; and niece Emily Sharkey of Morgantown, WV; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
At his request, Joey was cremated and his ashes will be scattered at Slippery Rock (PA) State Park. This is his way of celebrating his new life.
Memorial services will be held at 11 am Oct 9, 2010 at Carnegie Presbyterian Church, 219 Ewing Road, Carnegie, PA. Friends and family are invited to remain for a reception at the church immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joey's name to Life Path Hospice 12973 North Telecom Parkway, Suite 100 Temple Terrace, FL 33637
