Joyce Lucille Watson, 90, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away October 19, 2018. She was born October 7, 1928, in Toledo, Ohio.
Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Sterling Watson, and her son, Walter Jeffery Watson.
She is survived by her sister, Jeanette Hoyt; her daughter, Jayne Holly; four grandchildren, Amy Bauer, Adrian Holly, Rebecca Watson, and Philip Watson; and nine (soon to be ten) great-grandchildren.
One of the highlights of her professional career was working as a librarian for the Barberton High School near Akron, Ohio, and working with good friends for OELMA (Ohio Educational Library Media Association).
She enjoyed traveling abroad to countries like Japan, Holland, and London, and enjoyed white water rafting down the Colorado River and hiking in Carolina.
She served for many years at the Sun City Center Library and volunteered at the Hillsborough County Elections.
Joyce was known for her kindness, loving nature, giving heart, and wonderful spirit. She will be forever loved and missed.
Honoring her wishes, a small intimate celebration of life will be held in the fall.
