June Ruby Winston Hill was born on June 1st 1937 on the island of Dominica West Indies; she was the loving daughter of Marie Henry and younger sister to Rosalind Winston Cole. Her family immigrated to Antigua, West Indies where she spent her former years in school pursuing an education and active in the church. She had a fondness for poetry and would often quote passages of her favorite poems and sonnets. She had a bright smile that would light up any room when she entered it and an endearing personality that drew everyone who came in contact with her to her warm comforting spirit. As she matured and pursued her aspirations she met her husband Leslie Hill and formed a matrimonial union on February 26, 1963. She became the loving mother to three children Everine Hill, Relda Hill, and Lesley-Jean Hill.
In the year 1977, June and her family immigrated to the United States of America, where given the many opportunities provided to her, she decided to chase her lifelong passion of becoming a Registered Nurse. She persevered and became a Registered Nurse in 1993. That accomplishment was the highlight of her professional career and she enjoyed and relished every moment she spent practicing as an RN; first in the hospital setting of Mount Vernon Hospital in Westchester NY and finally at "The Children's Village" in Dobbs Ferry NY from where she retired.
June and her husband Leslie relocated to Sun City Center Florida, where again her beautiful spirit and warm presence uplifted all who had the fortune to encounter her smile and nurturing spirit. She spent many wonderful years enjoying retirement and in company of her family and grandchildren Anorvia James and Nasya Hewie-Hill.
Her cherished memories will always be memorialized and remembered by her loving husband Leslie Hill, adoring daughters Lesley-Jean Hill, Everine Hill and Relda Hill; doting grandchildren Nasya Hewie-Hill and Anorvia James; siblings Rosalind Cole and Alex Winston. Nephews: John Cole Jr., Orland Cole, Stuart Winston, Nieces: Annemarie Cole and Joanne Cole. Also loved by many more too numerous to mention but whose kindness and love for her will never be forgotten.
