Obituary
Kathleen Garman Demme, 81, from Mirabay in Apollo Beach, FL, went to be with Jesus her savior, in her home, surrounded by family, July 11, 2013.
Kathleen was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 10, 1932. She attended Carnegie Tech, California State College, and Duquesne University and taught in the Baldwin-Whitehall School System from 1970-1993. She was married to Calvin P Demme on April 12, 1952. She and Cal lived happily for 48 years in the Pittsburgh area.
Kathie lived each day to the full. She loved to travel, see new places, and meet new people. She enjoyed playing cards, eating out, and being a tour guide. For many years she has been an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and since moving to Florida has faithfully followed the Tampa Bay Rays.
She is survived by her brother Robert Garman and her sister Gloria Musin, her sons Steve Demme and Jeff Demme, her grandchildren, Isaac Demme, Ethan Demme, Fritha Turner, Joseph Demme, and John Demme, and her great grandchildren Dani Turner, Petra Turner, and Story Demme.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Ruskin United Methodist Church, 105 4th Ave NW, Ruskin, FL 33570. Cal and Kathie Demme were faithful members of the Gideons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Gideon's International, gideons.org, or by mail: PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN, 37214.
