Kiser George (KG) Delk of Ruskin, Born September 10, 1928 in Homerville, GA, son of Candacy Wheaton, left his earthly body to be with his Jesus that he loved dearly on March 28, 2016 in Ruskin, FL. KG was a simple man, he was blessed with three siblings that he loved dearly, Henry Delk, Emma Lee Spells, and William Delk. KG joined the US Navy when he was 17 years old in 1946, serving 2 years earning a WWII Victory Medal. On November 6, 1959, he married Nancy Lee Andrews (6/29/39-4/26/2009). Together they gave us two loving people, Renee Reighn and Randall Delk.
K.G. was a Drag Line Operator for Agrico Chemical from 1953 to 1990, as well as top notch Farmer. After retiring from Agrico, he tinkered around his beloved property, working in his smaller gardens and orange grove. He also enjoyed working on his 1959 Chevy Truck, Waterloo. He enjoyed the small things in life, southern cooking and fishing. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a great Southern cook, and if you left his home hungry you were hiding from his ladle. He believed that good food was the way to good fellowship, and a happy healthy family. One of his great joys was fishing. In his hay day, no one could throw a cast net better. He was no stranger to fresh water angling, and he and his best friend Robert would limit out most every time they went to one of their many fishing holes. He passed his love of the outdoors and fishing on to his son and grandsons. He was a man who took pride in a hard day's work, this is another gift that he bestowed upon his family. He was very proud of the family he raised, doting on both of his children and many grandchildren. There was nothing quite like a hug or word of encouragement from him. He had a smile that could light up the world when he saw his grandchildren, he loved them all equal no matter how close or far they were. When he was not in the presence of his family, they were always on his mind.

He is survived by his brother, Henry Delk of Lake Placid, FL, Daughter- Renee S. Reighn of Ruskin FL, Son- Randall A. Delk (Teresa) of Chuluota FL, Grandchildren- George J Blaisdell Jr "Jayson" (Crystal) of Ruskin FL, Joseph K Blaisdell "Joe Kamuta" (Tasha) of Seffner FL, David P Blaisdell "Fat Man" (Jami) of Apollo Beach FL, Scott L Blaisdell "Cooter Poot" (Jennifer) of Seffner FL, Daniel J Delk (Erica) of Altamonte Springs FL, Sean A Blaisdell of Ruskin FL, and Candace N Lake (Joshua) of Freeport Fl. Great Grandchildren- Joseph K Blaisdell Jr "Lil Joey", Rylan C Blaisdell "Pawpaw's Buddy", Braden J Blaisdell "Brady Man", and Hannah F. McSherdon. His Church family at Simmon's Loop Baptist Church is Riverview FL.
This man will be greatly missed from our lives. Heaven will shine brighter than ever, and Earth will be dimmer with him gone. We will forever love you.
