LaMerle Minnie DeLong was born March 19, 1927, at Holloway to Harry and Wilhelmina (Bruhn) Bahl. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Holloway. LeMerle graduated from Holloway High School.On June 24, 1950, she was married to Warren "Bud" Jensen. To this marriage their son, Allen, was born. Warren died on November 11, 1982. On April 16, 1994, she was married to Robert DeLong. Robert died on February 28, 2002.LaMerle was a loving wife and mother. She worked as a volunteer at the Methodist clothing room for several years. She loved dogs and chickens, horses, parades, Bingo, and working at the clothing room. She was friendly, loved to talk and visit, and had a very "bubbly" cheerful personality.LaMerle died on Friday, April 8th, 2011, at Appleton Area Health Services. She had reached the age of 84 years, and 19 days.She is survived by her son, Allen (Diane) Jensen, of Appleton; three sisters-in-law: Jerry Bahl of Colorado, Francis Bahl of Appleton, and Doris Rakowski of Appleton; three step-grandchildren: Heidi (Tony) Roiland, Amy (Doug) Larson, and Sarah (John) Shurb; seven step-great-grandchildren: Jacob Erickson, Rebecca Erickson, Demi Roiland, Chet Larson, Stone Larson, Josie Shurb, and Brendan Shurb; one step-great-great-grandson, Ryder Smith; nieces, nephews and other relatives.She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Warren Jensen and Robert DeLong; three brothers: Les, Ervin, and Orville Bahl; and three sisters: Edna Lien, LaVonna Fuller, and Bessy Smith.
