LaVerne, W. Lyon 96, of Sun City Center passed away Saturday October 4, 2014.
Born March 30, 1918 to Orelda and LeRoy Lyon in Freeport, IL.
Married to Anna May Mulnix on Feb. 14, 1941.
She went home to be with the lord Jan 3, 2002.
LaVerne served in the army for Four years and was in the 96th Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater.
LaVerne graduated from Logan Chiropractic College in 1950 and practiced in Freeport until retiring in 1978 and moved to Sun City Center, Florida.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church from 1979 until his death.
LaVerne is survived by a sister Patricia Howe, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Orelda Bares and a brother Mason Lyon.
On March 6, 2004 LaVerne married Marie Benson.
Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Freeport, IL.
