Obituary

Leason Elmas Pruner 87, of Apollo Beach, Florida passed away January 19th, 2025, at Victoria Crossings, just 2 weeks prior to his 88th birthday. He was born February 2nd, 1937, in Terre Haute Indiana to Fred Monroe Pruner and Bessie Williams Pruner.

He is survived by his children Lisa Bush, and David Pruner, granddaughter Hannah Bush and girlfriend Sandy Peirsel. Other survivors include sisters, Betty May Wilson and Freda Miller, brother in-law David Haynes and wife Nancy as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Jo Ann Pruner, sisters Donna McKee and Louanna Martin, mother and father in-law Opal and David Haynes and sisters in-law Carolyn and Judy Haynes.

Leason worked at Stran Steel Company for 25 years and Eli Lily for 18 years before retiring to Florida. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, trap shooting and playing pool. He was active with both his children's sporting events from coaching baseball, to travelling across the country as a spectator. He had a special sense of humor and loved to prank people. His pride and joy were his granddaughter who could do no wrong in his eyes.

The burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana at a future (warmer) date to be determined.
