Obituary

Linda Annetta Kirch was born April 9, 1948, in Kathryn, North Dakota, the daughter of Arvin Herbert and Inez Marie (Kopperud) Nelson. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed at Central Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Linda attended school through the eighth grade. She lived and worked in the suburbs of Minneapolis. On December 28, 1985, Linda was united in marriage to Anthony Henry Kirch in Minneapolis. The couple was blessed with 23 years of marriage. They moved to northern Minnesota. Linda worked in a commissary most of her life. The last eighteen years of employment was with the Minnesota Vikings. After Anthony's death in 2008, Linda moved to Benson to be closer to family. Linda was a member of the Sons of Norway, and served as treasurer for two years. She loved all animals, enjoyed driving up to Duluth in the fall, and going shopping. Linda was called from this life on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota. She attained the age of 63 years, 8 months and 12 days. Linda is survived by her daughters: Tania (Thomas) Benesh of Atlanta, GA and Tamara (Brad) Smith of Benson; eight grandchildren: Candice Benesh, Erica Benesh, Danielle Wrobleski, Samantha Schreiber, Andrew Schreiber, Shayla Smith, Austin Smith, and Jenna Smith; six great grandchildren: Dakota Wrobleski, Jayden Wrobleski, Madison Wrobleski, MaKynzee Gilbert, Ashton Wrobleski, and Mason Wrobleski; a sister: Nancy (John) Franklin of Princeton; and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Anthony; and her parents.
