Maggy was born in Indonesia on February 02, 1924. She was the second oldest of four sisters. After World War II, Maggy moved to the Netherlands where she started her career in nursing. In 1965, she was ready to leave Holland where she worked as an RN at the Naval Hospital in Haarlem. After immigrating to the California she continued her nursing career at Dominquez Valley Hospital in Long Beach, CA. She retired in 1990 and decided to move to Florida. Here she flourished. She loved doing lots fun stuff with all of her new friends. Maggy pursued her love for the Arts by painting with oils, water, and pastels. She made drawings with charcoal and chalk. She leaves behind her Son, Keith, daughter-in-law, Val, granddaughter, Sarah, and the oldest surviving sister in the Netherlands, Hetty, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, Emmy, and her two sisters Deetje and Josephine (Josie). She will be remembered as a person that was full of life and laughter. She will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011. at Zipperer's Funeral Home in Ruskin, there will be a reception at Bell Shoals Baptist Church at 12:00 in the Special Events Center. The Special Events Center is located in the back of the church. Go through the covered driveway into the Welcome Hall. People may bring food and drop it off at the Welcome Desk prior to that time if needed
