Margaret Ella Erdman was born on May 9, 1919 near Holloway, in Moyer Township, Swift County, Minnesota, to parents Frank A. and Anna (Behl) Suckow. She was baptized on May 17, 1919 at St. John's Lutheran Church near Holloway by Reverend Hans Appel. She grew up on the farm in Moyer Township and attended school at District #90 Swift County, Moyer Township. She was confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church by Reverend C. Anderson. On November 10, 1937, she was united in marriage to Ambrose Lawrence Erdman at St. John's Lutheran Church by the Reverend A. R. Wachholz. This union was blessed with 7 children. They settled on a farm in Tara Township north of Holloway. She worked at the Swift County Benson Hospital, Meadow Lane Nursing Home, and baked at several restaurants. Margaret moved into Benson in1965. Margaret enjoyed baking, quilting, gardening, playing cards, and bus trips. She was called from this life on September 11, 2009, at the Golden Living Center-Meadowlane Care Center in Benson. She attained the age of 90 years, 4 months, and 2 days. She is survived by her four children, Marlow(Pat) Erdman of Willmar, Bonita (Gary) Hoffman of Great Falls, Montana, Lois (Charles) Brandt of Clontarf, and Dennis (Julie) Erdman of Benson; 6 grandchildren, Jason Erdman, Jennifer Brantley, Jason Brandt, Anissa Grotjohn, Chelsie Brandt, and Lacy Brandt; 6 great grandchildren, Hannah, Drake, Christopher, McCartney, Cameron, and Noah, a daughter in law Etta Erdman of Lompoc, Califonia; her sisters Frances Bahl of Appleton, Ida Frank, Harriet, and Ruth of California. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anna Suckow, her son Norman, and twin sons Herman and John.
