Marie E. McGowan, age 77, of Wimauma, Florida, and Dayton, Ohio, passed away September 28, 2009. She was a devout Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She is preceeded in death by her parents, Chester and Etta Norvell: brothers, Robert, Willard, Alfred, Ray and Earl (Buddy) Norvell; sister, Mary Bicknell; Marie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Rev. Jack E. McGowan; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Dusty Wilson of Fenton, Michigan; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Kim McGowan of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Dustin and wife Sarah Wilson, Brittany McGowan, Jordan Wilson, Stephen McGowan, Morgan Wilson, and Elissa Marie; brother and sister-in-law, Homer and Geneva Norvell of Zanesville, OH; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances Orrill, Devonna and Cecil Rose and Shirley Angel all of Dayton, OH; sisters -in-law, Alberta Norvell and Betty Norvell all of Dayton, OH; Jewel Wade of Lebanon, OH; brother-in-law, Gene Bicknell of Lenoir City, TN; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00P.M. followed by a funeral service at 7:00P.M. on Wednesday, September 30, at the Wimauma Church of God located at 5504 S.R. 674, Wimauma, FL. with Rev. Gregory Brant officiating.
