Obituary

Brown, Max Duane, 76, of Sun City Center, FL passed away at his home on Friday, February 25th with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Hazel Brown, daughter, Toni Lynn Brown, grandson, Jamie Duane Durrance, daughter-in-law, Cindy Bennett and sister Fran Allison. He is survived by his loving wife, best friend and companion of 25 plus years, Joanna, brother Bud (Thelma) and mother-in-law Norma White. He leaves behind six children, Steve, Jeff and Lori from Illinois, Steve (Sandi), Chris and Charlene, all local, nine grandchildren, Cory, Karmin, Shane, Shaun, Matthew, Travis, Zach, Jake and Josh, and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Hayden. Max retired from manufacturing and moved to Riverview in 1983 from Illinois. He was part owner of Max Discount Auto Parts and owner of The Beer Shed and Alafia River Trailer Park until 2003 when he and Joanna sold it and moved to Sun City Center, FL. He was a member of the Ruskin Moose Lodge and an avid pool player. He enjoyed playing pool at the Proud Pony, American Legion and The Moose Lodges. He loved the water, his flowers and mowing. He was very meticulous about his gardening and yard work and it showed in the manicured grounds of the trailer park. Max could take a fallen tree and put dirt in empty holes and have a beautiful row of flowers for everyone to admire. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Lifepath Hospice "Green Team" on the excellent care they provided to such a wonderful husband, father and PeePaw. As per his wishes no services will be held. He will be so sadly missed by his family and friends.
