Melissa Ann (Conrad) Allgood, of Brandon (formerly Ruskin, FL), passed away on May 10, 2024. She was the second and youngest daughter born to Frank and Elisabeth Conrad on October 12, 1954, in Albany, New York. After relocating to Estill Springs, Tennessee, in 1955, Melissa attended grade school and graduated with the class of '72 from Franklin County High in Winchester. She married her high school sweetheart and moved to Lorain, Ohio, in 1974, where she was a homemaker and full-time mother to one daughter until she divorced in 1980.
After relocating to Florida in the early '80s, she found a way to serve the Lord as secretary of Northside Baptist Church in Ruskin for approximately 12 years. In 1992, she found a different calling, spending the remainder of her career specializing in HR and payroll at several companies until her retirement in 2019.
She enjoyed watching Bigfoot and camping shows, solving puzzles, eating quality pizza while watching Judge Judy reruns, and listening to classic oldies. She loved Jesus, animals, and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Conrad and Elisabeth Smith-Conrad; a half-brother, Frank Jr.; her beloved dog, M.J.; and many kitties. She is survived by her daughter Desi & grandson Christiaan Johansson both of Florida; 1 sister Cathy & husband Tim, and nieces & nephews: Amy, Jeff, Timmy, Mark, and Sarabeth, all of Tennessee.
