Obituary

Our dear dad, Ray Hisey, was called home to heaven five days after his 100th birthday on June 24, 2024 at the Fairway Oaks Center of Tampa, Florida. He spent his last ten years in God's Word, and when asked what religion he was he would reply a follower of Jesus Christ.

He is a Veteran of United States Army where he served in WW2. Ray lived his life traveling all over the United States with his wife, Irene and daughter, Marilyn Kay for his job as an administrator for the college food service. He worked his last 13 years for the Federal Government as Food Administrator for the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tampa, Florida and he and Irene lived on their 47 ft sailboat in Florida during that period of time. They retired and sailed all over the Gulf and the Caribbean. Moved back on land and took numerous cruises and traveled all over the US in their RV. On the side he repaired anything that was broken and invented and created tools or objects to use in his projects. He provided for and dearly loved his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, Anna Smith & Daniel Hisey; his two sisters, Doris & Marcile; his brother, John; his son Gary Hisey; and his wife, Irene Weber Hisey.

Ray is survived by his daughters, Linda Hisey Warren, and Marilyn Kay Rinehart; son, Rick Hacker; grandchildren Daniel & Nicole Orlosky; and Kevin & Andrea Orlosky; Rikki & Kara Hacker; Andrea Kent, and Felicia Mungle. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
