Michael Francis Brennan, 73, of The Villages,
Florida passed away Wednesday November 12, 2014.
Michael was born on July 12, 1941 in South Amboy, New Jersey.
Michael enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1964 where he served on the USS Intrepid
and was discharged honorably in 1968 after achieving the rank of petty officer 2nd class.
He later was a member of the Boilermakers Union as well as a patrolman
with the South Amboy Police Department. He rose through the ranks
to become a Principal Inspector spending 30 years with the
New Jersey State Police investigating organized crime for a majority of his career.
He has been a long standing member of the Police Benevolent Association
and also a member of the Howell Elks Lodge.
He retired in 1995 and moved to The Villages where he enjoyed golfing and the warm weather.
He is survived by his only son Michael Brennan (Christine),
brother John Brennan (Margaret), granddaughters Margaret Grace Brennan
and Charlotte Francis Brennan, nephew Michael Brennan and niece Eileen Ward (Sean).
He is predeceased by his parents Frank Brennan and Margaret Karwat Brennan.
A memorial will be held on December 1, 2014
upstairs at Katie Bell's Restaurant at 1:00 pm.
