Michael (Mike) Charles Kinney, age 78, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, July 16, 2019 at Life Path Hospice House in Sun City Center.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Patricia Schreier, who he married 57 years ago on June 30th in Buffalo, NY, along with their children; 3 sons, Brian Kinney, Scott Kinney, Rob Kinney and 1 daughter, Jill Kinney Evans; 5 grandchildren, Steven Kinney, Christopher Kinney, Autumn Kinney, Graham and Addison Evans; 3 great grandchildren, Lyla, Aurora and Reagan; a younger sister, Susan Laruffa and an older brother, Donald Kinney.

Mike was born in Buffalo, NY. Mike devoted his career at Niagara Mohawk, where he would retire 35+ years later. As a younger man, Mike was an avid boater, spending as many weekends as possible enjoying the waters of Lake Erie. In his free time, he enjoyed cards with his wife and friends and was a wood craftsman with a passion for model wooden boat building. Mike will be remembered as a loving father, a devoted husband and a proud, energetic grandfather, full of humor and laughter.
