HITZ, Michael Andrew, 69, passed away March 11, 2013 at his winter home in Sun City Center, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Henry Hitz and Eleanor Louise Lucas and a sister-in

-law, Kay Quigley Wardrep. Mike received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the

University of Cincinnati, and later received his MBA in Finance from Xavier University. He worked

for the IBM Corp. in Cincinnati for over 30 years. He had a brilliant mind that kept him active in the

continual quest for new knowledge. He spent his retirement years traveling and playing golf with his

wife and IBM friends. Mike was a devoted and supportive man who always put his family first.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen Quigley Hitz, daughter Christine

Hitz of Irvine, CA, son Michael Hitz of Cincinnati, his grandchildren, Zoe, Zachary, Gabriel and Aiden

Hitz, all of Cincinnati, along with his wonderful brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Vicki Quigley

Dickens of Florence, KY. The family would like to thank LifePath Hospice in Ruskin, FL for all of

their care and support. No service will be held and donations may be made to LifePath Hospice or the

organization of your choice in Mike's name. A celebration of Mike's life will be held in Cincinnati in
