Mike Anderson a beloved and well-known bar/restaurant owner on St. Pete Beach passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family Tuesday, September 21, 2021. William Mike Anderson was born December 1,1946 in Flint Michigan.

A graduate of Florida State University, Mike opened his first bar, The Pro Shop in Clearwater. He and his wife Barbara opened their first bar on St. Pete Beach, 46th South Beach, this began a highly successful career as a bar/restaurant owner on the Beach. He subsequently owned The Wharf, The Bridgeview, The Reef, Willys, Dead Bob's and The Joint. Mike was known as a generous boss, who cared for his employees and had a loyal customer following because of his warm, welcoming style. He inspired and mentored many. Mike's passions were his establishments, horse racing and his family.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, his children, Valerie, Anna and Michael Talbert. His grandchildren; Jared, Elijah Johnson, Niecy, Samantha, Madison Young and Lily Talbert, sisters; Patty Lux, Liz Anderson and nephew Cody. He will be missed deeply.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
