Patricia Ann (Wieland) Wise, age 88, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away on December 6, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of Ohio until they moved permanently to Florida in September, 2000. She was born on May 17, 1933, to Fredrick and Eudora (Gilmore) Wieland in Gates Mills, Ohio.
Patricia took great pride in caring for others. One of her greatest accomplishments was graduating as a non-traditional student from the nursing program. She worked as a hospital nurse, retiring after 12 years.
She had several hobbies. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. When hosting family gatherings, she spent a lot of time making sure everyone was entertained and well fed. Patricia was a great cook and always welcomed people into her home with a smile and hospitality. She was also a talented seamstress. She made clothes for her family as well as quilts for each grandchild when they graduated from high school. Patricia enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing trivia games. She attended a countless number of barbershop quartet concerts over the years. Patricia was notorious for sending greeting cards and/or notes for every Hallmark holiday, which family members always enjoyed receiving.
Survivors include her brother; William (Audrey) Wieland – her children; Cynthia (Richard) Berger, Melinda (Joseph) Bronish, Robert (Diana) Wise – her grandchildren; Amy (Ralph) Scott, Judson (Sangeetha) Berger, Derek (Ellen) Bronish, Meghan (David) Valiente, Ian (Melanie) Wise and Kelsey (Randy) Bok. Also surviving are her ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Proceeding her in death was her husband of 66 years, Dean Wise.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Englewood United Methodist Church. Her family would like to thank Lifepath Hospice and Southern Comfort Nursing Facility for their compassionate care.
