Pauline (Polly) Friday Jenkins
born on October 30, 1927 in Alabama,
passed from this life on to the next in the
comfort of her home on the windy morning of Jan 23, 2017.

She resided in her home for 60 years.

She was preceded in death by
husband- Major Ralph L Jenkins
Mother - Liza Irene Friday
Father- Jess Friday
Daughter -Brenda K Strane
Grandson -Paul M Lane Jr


In her short 89 years She had 5 children
Pamela Blocker, Donald Friday, Jo Leto,
Michael Jenkins, Brenda Strane
11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.

She was a stay at home mom.
Her passions were keeping a clean house,
cooking, gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting,
anything she could do to keep her hands busy.
She was always a caregiver, and a nurturing soul,
she loved taking care of her children and
grandchildren, visiting with family and friends.

In her younger years her home was the
hub of the neighborhood, where many cups
of coffee and homemade biscuits were served.
She always had an extra plate for anyone that stopped by,

she never turned anyone away.
She had more commonsense and wisdom than
any one person should have.
People would always ask for her
advice before making a decision,
and she would gladly give you her opinion.
She was usually spot on, and to top it
off she had a heart of gold.
She was the matriarch of our family.
Our hearts ache, the emptiness will
forever be a reminder of the joy you brought to all of us,
we can no longer just stop by for a hug,
or call to hear about the day,
or hear I love you...
Our lives are forever changed..

Rest in peace Mama,
until we meet again. Your loving family
