Phillip John 'Jack' Collins was born August 10, 1936 in Clontarf, Minnesota, the son of Phil and Teresa (Kramer) Collins. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at St. Malachy's Catholic Church in Clontarf. He grew up in Clontarf and attended school there. On November 28, 1958, Jack was united in marriage to Louise Westphal by Fr. King at Clontarf. They were later divorced. Jack was very proud to have received a U.S. patent for an innovative drill bit. He was a master carpenter, cabinet maker and wood worker. Among the things he enjoyed were working in his shop, collecting Lionel trains and collectible bottles as well as taking care of his lawn. Phillip was called from this life on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar. He attained the age of 72 years, 11 months and 16 days. Jack is survived by his children: Lonny Evenson of Stafford, Virginia, Kevin Evenson of East Bethel, Minnesota, and Troy Evenson of Minneapolis, Minnesota; fourteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, Phil and Teresa "Grace", siblings: James, Helen, Robert, Theodore, Donald, and Phyllis.
