Obituary

Priscilla Mary Kurkosky was born June 30, 1926 in Danvers, Minnesota, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Katowski) Wrobleski. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith in Danvers. She grew up and attended school in the Danvers area, and completed school through the eighth grade. On August 20, 1945, Priscilla was united in marriage to Joseph Alexander Kurkosky at Church of the Visitation in Danvers. They were blessed with 38 years of marriage and nine children. They lived in the Danvers and Benson areas, and Priscilla worked at Fingerhut, Benson Produce, and many local cafés - Shell's, Sandy's, and the Clontarf Café. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson. Among the things she enjoyed were baking, embroidery, dancing, watching soap operas; playing Bingo, cards, and dice; working puzzle books and family get-togethers. Priscilla was called from this life on Monday, October 3, 2011, at her residence. She attained the age of 85 years, 3 months and 3 days. Priscilla is survived by her children: Gerald (Linda) Kurkosky of Benson, Bonnie (Floyd) Hoberg of Hancock, Patty (Tim Wyatt) Kurkosky of Benson, and Joseph Kurkosky of Benson; twenty-four grandchildren: DuWayne, Tony, Chris, Kimberly, Timothy, Ryan, Sean, Kelsy, Kyle, Kory, George, Jerry, Brenda, Mike, Suzanne, Lisa, Dawn, Brandon, Brianna, Alissandra, Bobby, Jeannette, Karla and Kayla; thirty great grandchildren: Tasia, Lily, Tyrese, Jeannecia, Avayah, Emiree, Eric, Sadie, Chance, Chase, Danielle, Brady, Bobby, Brandon, Corey, Shane, Alicia, Brittney, Mikayla, Alyssa, Hailey, Jared, Jordon, Kaden, Landen, Brooke, Kaysha, Mackenzie, Macoy, and Mya; and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband in 1983; a son Gary in 2003; daughter Judy in 2010; three children in infancy: Larry, John, and Suzanne; a granddaughter in infancy; a great granddaughter in infancy; her parents and her brothers and sisters.
