In loving memory of Ralph Barbato, Jr. who died at the age of 71 on September 6th, 2011. Lovingly known as "Grampy" by his grandchildren. Ralph was born on March 14, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY. He had many friends and was part of a group who could well be remembered as the "Brooklyn Boys of Summer". He was an accomplished banker and real estate professional. He moved to Florida in 1977 and loved fishing, baseball and softball and dedicating himself to his family whenever they needed him. He is survived by his loving wife Jeannie, son Ralph, daughter-in-law Catriona and three loving grandchildren. Ralph will always be known as someone who stood up for what he believed in. The family would like to thank all who prayed for us and took part in Ralph's care during his long fought battle. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Ralph's name. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, September 15 at 1:30 pm at St. Martha's Church in Sarasota.
