On May 15, 2010, the world lost an amazing man to cancer at only 48 years of age. Randy Michael Ewing, was born in Gallopis, Ohio, December 30, 1961. He was affectionately known as "Shorty." He enjoyed spending time with his family and working on cars. He was never known to turn away someone in need if he could help. He was preceeded in death by his wife Hazel Ewing, and his parents Clyde Ewing and Agnas Rumfield. Left behind to enjoy his memory are his 3 daughters, Maria Eldib, Crystal Peterson, and Crystal Knueppel, 2 sons, Jeffrey Knueppel and Mohamed Eldib, and 8 grandchildren, Missy, Christopher, Seaira, Keyana, Amira, Mariah, Lexy, Trey, Kasey, and Kahne. Also left behind, are the members of his family at Direct Drive, where he worked for nearly 16 years. Although there are far too many to name, I would like to mention some of them. Mike, Kevin, Mike the Mechanic, Vivian, Poor Boy Bob, Kris Sabitree and family, Henry, Mike Keetley, Rosella, and Sharon. You were are a big part of his life and he cared for you all. Finally, a special thanks to the people who cared for him during his last days. To call them simply caregivers would be an huge understatement. Maria Eldib, Mohamed Eldib, and Cindy Westenbarger spent every hour caring for him and making him comfortable in the days before God called him home to be with Him. They gave him the love, compassion, and peace that could be given by no other.
