Rita Lanes, 72 of Palmetto and Apollo Beach,
Florida passed away Sunday July 10, 2016 in
the early afternoon at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg
with her much-loved family by her side.
Rita was dearly loved by all her family and friends.
She always wanted to make you happy and adored all children;
especially her precious Ariah that called her Gigi.
She worked as a bookkeeper all her life, but in her spare time,
one of her favorite hobbies was to cook. She loved all food,
especially if it was spicy. She enjoyed traveling; whether it was
just a "One Tank Trip", Disney World, or traveling abroad.
She wanted to see and do it all. Her favorite country
was England where she discovered life- long friends.

She is survived by her daughter,
Susan Mason; her grandson, Brandon Guindon;
her granddaughter, Stephanie Taylor;
her great granddaughter, Ariah Taylor;
her brother, Richard Lanes; and her countless
loving family of nephews, nieces, and in-laws.

She is preceded in death by
her mother; Anna Lanes, father; Rene Lanes,
and sister; Phyllis Lane; and her beloved cats Rosie and Beauty

Zipperer's Funeral Home in Ruskin at 2:00 p.m.
Pot luck dinner will follow at her daughter's home

In lieu of flowers,
the family is asking for donations to
ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)
and WWF (World Wildlife Foundation).
As all animals happiness gave her tremendous
amounts of joy and laughter in her life.
