Robert "Bob" Higgins Sr, 78, of Ruskin, Fl, and formerly of Apollo Beach Fl and Toledo Ohpassed away on Friday, Feb 4, 2011. Bob moved his family from Ohio to the Tampa Bay area in 1970 in search of year round fishing and boating and a lot less snow. A retired salesman, he enjoyed working with his hands, especially building model airplanes. For the past several years he has been in the loving care of the amazing staff at the Central Park Health and Rehab facility in Brandon FL.
He is survived by his son, Robert "Butch" Higgins Jr and his Daughter, Jennifer "JJ" Higgins. Also surviving are his siblings: Irvin Higgins of Garrettsville Oh, John Higgins of N Ft Myers Fl and Kathy Gurzenski of Los Angeles CA. Services will not be held at time. There will be a memorial service, date has yet to be determined
