Robert G. Lubinski,
age 90 of Ruskin, FL
(Sun City Center), died
Sunday, February 26, 2017
at the Plaza West Health Center
in Freedom Plaza.
Bob was born in 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to
Casper G. and Helen E. Lubinski.
At the age of 18, Bob enlisted in the Navy and
served during WWII in the Pacific on a ship that
provided landing craft support and protection.
He married Neva Irene in 1948. After WWII, Bob
went to work at the Rossford Ordnance Depot near Toledo, Ohio.
He owned and operated Bob's Shell Station in Holland, Ohio
for several years and retired after 22 years as a Pipefitter
from GM Hydra-Matic in Toledo, Ohio in 1989.
He and Neva retired to Fairway Palms in Ruskin, FL in 1994.
Bob was also an avid bowler and lifelong golfer.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Neva I.;
daughter, Mary L. Stiles and son-in-law,
Arthur H. Stiles of Stockbridge, GA; daughter, Sharon R. Hertle of Oro Valley, AZ;
granddaughters, Shannon R. Stiles and Lara E. Brinson;
two great-grandsons, and many loving and
supportive friends in Ruskin, FL.
At Bob's request, he has been cremated.
