Robert D Slick (70), Winchester, IN passed away in his home in Florida after a short illness on Wednesday Nov. 24, 2021.

Rob is survived by his wife, Phoebe Cooper Slick of Winchester, daughter Crystal Slick (Josh Bauer) of Winchester, stepson Chase Anderson (Jessica Sullivan) of New Castle, stepdaughter Katey Anderson (Tyler)Bebout of Lynn and grandsons, Denver, Brody, Parker, Beckham, Sawyer & Jeramy. He is also survived by his sisters, Judy Slick Williams of Old Greenwich, CT, Nancy Slick (David)Faulk of Bellevue, WA, stepbrother Terry (Sue) Comer of Lynn and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth Ortt and Crystal R Slick, M.D. and son Jeramy Slick.

Rob was a WCHS graduate in the class of 1970 and BSU in the class of 1975. He retired in 2017 from Ardagh Glass in Winchester after 42 years of dedicated service. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge and Phi Delts.

He was an avid sports fan which included college Basketball, especially IU, Indianapolis Colts season ticket holder since 1984, Fort Wayne Komets hockey, Boston Red sox baseball and all types of racing. Rob was a certified baseball umpire and officiated at many area high school games. He also enjoyed attending music festivals throughout the years, which he enthusiastically shared with his wife and friends.

After retirement, Rob and his wife, Phoebe, purchased a home at Hawaiian Island in Ruskin, FL where they spent the past three winters. While there he enjoyed playing golf, Shufflebroad and spending time with friends.

A Celebration of Rob's Life will take place on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 4:00 at the Winchester Moose Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to Winchester/Randolph County Animal Shelter.
