Robert Stanis, 65, of Sun City Center died suddenly July 26, 2012. Born in Yonkers, NY, he lived and worked in Indianapolis and San Diego. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Stanis, sons David Smith, Ithaca, NY and George Smith, Tulsa, OK, grandson, Steven Smith, Indianapolis, IN, brother Greg Stanis, Yonkers, NY, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathy and Bob Bizzano, Sun City Center, and brother-in-law Robert Hanneman, North Port, FL. Susan has lived part time in the home of her deceased mother, Elsie Sholund, on South Lake in Sun City Center since 2002. Susan and Rob became full time residents of Sun City Center in 2010. Robert recently retired as Director of Quality and Technical Services at Chromalloy, San Diego. He was Vice President of South Lake Association and Assistant Lake Chief. Rob absolutely loved his life on the lake with a special fondness for the critters. In lieu of flowers a donation to the South Lake Association fish fund would delight him, only if you are so inclined. Private family service will be held at a future date.
