Obituary

Roger Vincent Crary was born July 2, 1932, to Vincent and Marcella (Buck) Crary in Minneapolis. He graduated from Edison High School in Minneapolis in 1950, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in music, with distinction and a Master of Arts in music history with organ major at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus. He used his talents as organist and choirmaster at churches in St. Paul, Minneapolis, and Center City, Minnesota.He spent two years of active duty and four years of Reserve in the U. S. Army. On July 16, 1961, he married Priscilla Lovholm at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. Roger went back to the University of Minnesota and earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting. He also became a certified public accountant. He worked as an accountant and auditor for most his career. Later on in life he earned a Jurist Doctor degree from Hamline University School of Law and was licensed to practice in Minnesota and Arizona.Roger had many interests. He was passionate about the pipe organ and baseball. He loved history, reading, camping, and although not a gardener he loved roses. Roger and Priscilla have made their home in Appleton since 2000.Roger died on Sunday morning, March 28th, at Appleton Area Health Services. He attained 77 years, 8 months, and 26 days of age.He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; brother, Jerome (Roberta) Crary of St. Paul and Arizona; niece, Linda (Richard) Moore; nephew, Stephen Crary; and cousins: Raymond (Donna) Maier, Margaret Johnson, Barbara (Ralph) Moll, and Kathy Olson.He is preceded in death by his parents.
