In Remembrance of Royce W. Haley, Jr.
Royce (Bud) William Haley, Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan to parents Royce William Haley and Eva Margaret Gay on August 16, 1938. He died Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Sun City Center, Florida after a hard fought battle with multiple cancers.
After high school, Bud joined the United States Air Force and served with distinction for 10 years both at home and abroad. He then worked at Berkley Screw Machine where he moved up the ranks to become General Manager of the family business. After 30 years, he retired to the sunshine and golf courses of Sun City Center, Florida with his wife, Marilyn Haley. Bud enjoyed many years of golf, family and friends.
Bud was survived by 4 children, Royce William Haley III, Mark Haley, Alicia Haley and Jeanette Haley; siblings Patricia Lewis and Kenneth Haley; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Bud will be remembered best for his sense of humor and generosity.
The family will have an event later in the summer to celebrate Bud's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
