Obituary

Ryan Michael Modrow was born in Tampa, FL on June 11, 1991. He lived a life in the love of his Savior, and he was called to the arms of the Lord, on April 26, 2010. Ryan was a student at Hillsborough Community College, working on his first semester. He was an excellent student, diligent in whatever he set his mind to. He was passionate about music, and he shared that passion with others, whether it was encouraging others to pursue their musical talent, or sharing his talent, through guitar, piano, and song. Also, he loved soccer; he was always that silent leader and so patient to teach others. He loved and lived life, and he took every opportunity to inspire others. His patience, tenderness, and diligence will never be forgotten. He had a contagious smile and humor that warmed the hearts of those he knew. He was our "Bubby Boy." Our precious gift from God the Father and Jesus: "Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights." (James 1:19) He is survived by his father Donald Modrow, mother LuAnn Modrow, sisters Rachel and Hannah Modrow, brother Aaron Modrow, and his sweetheart Erika Bloodgood. Uncle Curt, Aunt Diane, cousins Megan and Matthew Hey; Uncle Jaime, Aunt Lisa, cousins Jessica and Andrew Paulison; Uncle Harry, Aunt Lynn, cousins Summer and Faith McCurdy; Uncle Craig, Aunt Peggy, cousins Clark and Ella Hey; Uncle Bubba, Aunt Janet, cousins Nicolai and Sydney Modrow; Uncle Henry, Aunt Jennifer, cousins Laura Walker and Henry Lee Herring, and Joanne, Morgan and Abby Hey. Grandfather Douglas Hey and Grandmother Nancy Hey; "Grandmother" Olga Baylis; "Grandparents" Grandma and Papa Leggett; "Mommy" Robin Razick. The funeral will be held at First Baptist Church of Ruskin, on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at one o'clock in the afternoon. There will be a public viewing prior, from 11 to 1 PM. The family would like to thank everyone for their love, through prayers, calls, visits, and gifts. Words cannot express the value and strength that you all have been to us. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ryan's name.
"For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain." (Philippians 1:21)
