Signora Pauline Fragodt was born May 4, 1922 in Lac qui Parle Towship, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, the daughter of Peter and Selma (Hoven) Heimdahl. She was baptized and confirmed at Lac qui Parle Lutheran Church. Signora grew up on the family farm and graduated from Milan High School. On November 24, 1950, Signora was united in marriage to Donald Luverne Fragodt by Rev. C.T. Jensen at the bride's home. This union was blessed with four children. Donald passed away in 1998. Together, Signora and Donald were able to share in 48 years of marriage. The family farmed in rural Danvers until 1973, when Signora and Donald moved into Benson. Signora spent her time caring for the house and raising the children. She was a member of the Ladies Aid and served as a Sunday School Teacher at West Bank Lutheran Church, when they lived by Danvers. Among the things she enjoyed were crocheting doilies and afghans, making quilts, baking, and playing cards. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.Signora was called from this life on Sunday, May 3, 2009, after a brief two-day stay at Willmar Commons Nursing Home in Willmar. She attained the age of 86 years, 11 months and 29 days. Signora is survived by her children: Marjorie (Stan) Pasche of Alexandria, Wayne (Kayla) Fragodt of Raymond, Carol (Paul) Cappelen of Spicer, and Linda (Tom) Cuchna of Atwater; eleven grandchildren: Aaron (Kyra) Pasche, Laura (David) Hansen, Joshua, Nick, and MacKenzie Fragodt, Kelly and Kyle Cappelen, and Ashley, Emily, Alysha, and Erica Cuchna; three great grandchildren: Hailey Hansen, Madison Hansen, and Evan Pasche; one sister, Manda Olson of Appleton; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Williamson of Appleton; and other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Donald; her parents, Peter and Selma; a sister, Doris Fragodt; and brothers: Harold, Art and Godfred Heimdahl.
