Obituary
Thomas (Tom) Leroy Coker, 79, a lifelong resident of Gibsonton, Florida died February 7, 2025 in Riverview, Florida after an extended illness. Tom is a 1963 graduate of Hillsborough County High School and after graduation he served his country in the United States Air Force.
Tom was born in Wauchula, Florida, February 16, 1945. He is predeceased by his parents, Austin Stanley Coker and Hazel Christie Coker; his wife, Mildred I. (Milly) McPeak Coker; a brother, Austin Stanley Coker, Jr.
Tom is survived by a sister, Beatrice Ann Coker Martin (Charles); stepdaughter, Donna Lee Maddox (David); stepson, Timothy Allen Parker; nieces Debra Lynn Copeland (Greenville, Fl) and Pamela D. McAuley (Apollo Beach, Fl); and many grandchildren.
Tom was employed at Ace Hardware in Brandon, Florida for over 20 years. He was a sports enthusiast and an avid Tampa Bay Bucs fan. Tom was a member of Grounded Church, Brandon, Florida.
A private Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.
