Vivian Helen Keller was born August 15, 1929, at Walls Township, Traverse County to Harvey and Pearl (Hermann) Smith. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Vivian attended school at Wheaton and Graceville.She worked at a variety of restaurants in the area. She worked at Southside Café in Appleton where she met her future husband, LeRoy Keller. They were married on August 14, 1954, at Clinton.She was a member of the First Congregational Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Vivian enjoyed playing Bingo and loved music and singing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.Vivian died on Monday afternoon, May 17, at Appleton Area Health Services. She had attained 80 years, 9 months, and 2 days of age.She is survived by her son Frank (Ruth) Keller of Appleton; grandson Jacob Keller of Appleton; half-brother Arthur (Mary) Arndt of Ortonville; half sister Linda (Roger) Terrell of Lincoln, NE; step-sister Lorretta Shannon; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.She is preceded in death by her parents; husband LeRoy "Bud" on January 12, 1986; son Dwain "Kit" Keller; two brothers: Harry and Dwain Smith; and four step-sisters.
