On Saturday , October 6, 2018, Walter (Wally) Hilborne , loving husband, father, papa, silly grandpa, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side at age 78. Wally was born on December 1, 1939 in Ogdensburg, NY to Clarence and Edith (Young) Hilborne.

Wally served his country in the Air Force and served his community of Wimauma, FL as Fire Chief. He married the love of his life Janet Timmins on March 18, 1975. They raised 11 kids and ran a successful antique and collectibles business Hilborne's Odds & Ends.

Wally was known for his bravery, honesty, kindness, hard work, and most of all his sense of humor; which he had right up to the end.

Wally is preceded in death by his father, Clarence, mother, Edith (Heidi) and sister, Mary Lou. He is survived by his wife Janet. His brothers Gary and Jack. His children Mary, Roberta, Debbie, Wally Jr, Travis, Amy, Sonya , Mike, Steve, Paul, Joey, and Elizabeth. His grandkids Desiree, Noland, Chrissy, Ryan, Veronica, Efrain, Josue, Melissa, Bradley, Stephen, Joey, Taylor, Madison, Aaron, Elizabeth, William, Jennifer and Paul Jr. Many great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews. His favorite companions Belle, Andy, and Emma who protected and watched over him.

A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, October 10th 2018 at Zipperer's Funeral Home at 5:00pm.
