Obituary
Walter C. Merritt 92, of Sun City Center, Florida passed away June 5, 2019. He is survived by his wife Gail, Daughter Susan Hood of Bessermer City, N.C, Son W. Greg Merritt (Aimee) of New Bern, N.C, 5 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
He was a band director at Pendleton, SC. Served in the US Army 9th Calvary Division in the Asian / Pacific. He graduated from the University of North Carolina and Master from Northwestern University.
Walter will be buried at Sarasota National Cemetery.
