Obituary

Wesley "Wayne" Mobley was born May 4, 1942 in Tampa and went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2012 at age 69. he was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County, raised in this area and lived in Apollo Beach, on the water. He served three years in the U.S. Army and made a career with Hillsborough County Road Department as a Supervisor, retiring after 23 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family boating and fishing and also loved working outdoors in his yard.
Wayne is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 50 years, Mernell who was also his best friend. He leaves a son, Wesley and Janet; a sister, Linda and Wally Peterson; a nephew, Brian and Dana; a neice Sheila and Jason Rawlings and three great-nephews, Jarrett, Kole and Trevor Peterson and one great-niece, Zoey Rawlings. He also leaves five aunts and many cousins.
Preceding him in death; parents, Wesley T. Mobley and Ethel Mae, infant twin daughters and great-nephew Bo Sawyer.
Wayne wanted no public service, but instead wished his friends and family to honor his memory in their own manner.
