William "Bill" Thomas Moran, 85, passed away and has gone to be with his Savior on December 6, 2024. Born in New Jersey in 1939, his family moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where he grew up, attended school, and worked his entire career at The Maryland Casualty Insurance Company.

He married Bettie Ann Jones in 1969. They were married 38 years until her death in 2006. After retiring and relocating to Florida, Bill and Bettie resided in Apollo Beach, Florida. Bill also worked a few years at JCPenny Co. in Tampa. Both Bill and Bettie dedicated their lives to serving their God and Savior, volunteering many hours with the parishioners of Southside Baptist Church.

Bill was also preceded in death by his biological parents, Harold Tatem Moran and Mildred Ethel Wells Moran, as well as his adoptive parents, Marshall and Hazel Jones, of Sun City, Florida. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Marsha Lou Haas and her partner Gary Bennett of Rainier, OR; a niece, Sasha Holman; great nephew, Layne; and great-great nephew, Bryson, all of Portland, OR.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Southside Baptist Church in Sun City Center, FL, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 1:30PM.
